CONSTRUCTION CPR TRAINING

Construction sites are among the most hazardous workplaces in America. Falls from height, electrical contact, struck-by incidents, and caught-in/between accidents — known as OSHA's "Fatal Four" — account for more than 60% of construction worker fatalities each year. Having trained first responders on every job site isn't just a best practice. It's a requirement that saves lives.
CPR-Professionals brings American Heart Association (AHA) certified First Aid, CPR, and AED training directly to your job site, warehouse, or office trailer. Our instructors understand the construction environment and tailor every class to the real hazards your crews face daily — from high-voltage electrical systems to trench collapses, from scaffold falls to heat exhaustion on summer pours.
We handle all the logistics. We bring mannequins, AED trainers, bandaging supplies, and instructional materials. You provide the space — a break room, conference trailer, or cleared bay — and we do the rest. Every participant leaves with a 2-year AHA eCard certification and the confidence to act in an emergency.
Why OSHA Compliance Matters
OSHA standard 29 CFR 1926.50 requires construction employers to have personnel trained in first aid on every job site where an infirmary, clinic, or hospital is not "in near proximity." In practice, this means almost every construction site needs at least one — ideally several — workers certified in First Aid and CPR.
Beyond the regulatory requirement, OSHA citations for inadequate first aid provisions carry fines of up to $16,131 per violation (2025 rates), with willful violations reaching $161,323. More importantly, the absence of trained responders during a cardiac arrest, severe bleeding event, or anaphylactic reaction can mean the difference between life and death during the critical minutes before EMS arrival.
Our training programs are designed to satisfy OSHA 1926.50 requirements and align with ANSI/ISEA Z308.1 first aid kit standards. We also cover bloodborne pathogen awareness per OSHA 1910.1030, which applies to any employee who might render first aid.
Construction-Specific Hazards We Address
Falls from Height
Spinal immobilization awareness, when to move vs. when not to move a victim, bleeding control from impact injuries, and recognizing signs of internal bleeding.
Electrical Contact & Arc Flash
Scene safety around energized equipment, recognizing cardiac arrest from electrocution, AED use considerations, and burn classification and first aid.
Struck-By & Caught-In/Between
Severe hemorrhage control using direct pressure and tourniquets, crush injury management, shock recognition and treatment until EMS arrival.
Heat-Related Illness
Recognizing heat exhaustion vs. heat stroke, rapid cooling techniques, hydration protocols, and when heat illness becomes a life-threatening emergency.
Respiratory Hazards
Recognizing signs of inhalation injury from dust, silica, or chemical exposure. Rescue breathing considerations and when to call for hazmat response.
Equipment & Machinery
Amputation and avulsion wound care, severe bleeding control, and emergency action steps when heavy equipment is involved in an incident.
Benefits of On-Site Training vs. Offsite
Sending 15 workers to an offsite classroom means 15 workers off the job for half a day or more — plus travel time, mileage reimbursement, and scheduling headaches. On-site training eliminates all of that. We come to you, train your crew in the space they already know, and get them back to work the same day.
- Zero travel time — we set up in your break room, conference trailer, or cleared bay
- Flexible scheduling: early morning (6am), lunch sessions, or after-hours
- Context-specific scenarios using your actual worksite environment
- Volume discounts for larger groups (6-person minimum)
- Single point of contact for scheduling, invoicing, and certification tracking
- Certification reminders before your team's credentials expire
