MANUFACTURING CPR TRAINING
Get a Free QuoteOn-Site First Aid, CPR, and AED Classes for Industrial Manufacturing
Manufacturing facilities present a unique combination of workplace hazards — from heavy machinery and conveyor systems to chemical exposure, high-noise environments, and repetitive motion injuries. With the Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting over 400,000 non-fatal injuries in the manufacturing sector annually, having trained first responders on your production floor isn't optional. It's essential.
CPR-Professionals provides American Heart Association (AHA) certified First Aid, CPR, and AED training on-site at your manufacturing facility. Whether you operate a food processing plant, metal fabrication shop, plastics molding facility, or electronics assembly line, our instructors bring real-world emergency scenarios to your training — tailored to the specific hazards your workers encounter every shift.
We understand that production schedules don't stop for training. That's why we offer flexible scheduling options including shift-change sessions, split-crew rotations, and weekend classes. We bring everything — mannequins, AED trainers, first aid supplies, and instructional materials — and set up in your break room, conference room, or any available space on your facility floor.
OSHA Requirements for Manufacturing
OSHA's General Industry standard 29 CFR 1910.151(b) requires employers to ensure the "ready availability of medical personnel for advice and consultation" and to have "adequate first aid supplies" approved by a consulting physician. When a hospital, clinic, or infirmary is not in "near proximity" to the workplace — defined in guidance as roughly 3-4 minutes of emergency response — employers must have employees trained in first aid, including CPR.
For manufacturing facilities, this standard applies broadly. Most plants are located in industrial parks or rural areas where ambulance response times average 8-12 minutes. During those critical minutes, a coworker trained in CPR and AED operation is the injured worker's best chance of survival.
Beyond first aid, OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard (1910.1200), Process Safety Management (1910.119), and specific chemical exposure standards may require additional emergency response training. Our programs can be supplemented to address chemical splash first aid, inhalation injury response, and other industry-specific scenarios.
Manufacturing-Specific Hazards We Address
Machinery & Moving Parts
Amputation and crush injury first aid, severe bleeding control with direct pressure and tourniquets, and emergency machine lockout awareness for rescuers.
Chemical Exposure
Chemical burn decontamination, eye wash station protocols, inhalation injury recognition, and first aid for corrosive chemical contact on skin.
Electrical Systems
Recognizing cardiac arrest from electrical shock, AED use on electrocution victims, electrical burn assessment, and lockout/tagout awareness for first responders.
Forklift & Material Handling
Crush injury management, spinal immobilization awareness for forklift rollover incidents, and pedestrian-vehicle collision first aid.
Ergonomic & Repetitive Stress
Recognizing signs of acute musculoskeletal injury, proper splinting techniques, and when repetitive strain symptoms indicate a medical emergency.
Slip, Trip & Fall Injuries
Head injury assessment and concussion recognition, fracture stabilization, and when to suspect spinal injury from a fall.
Flexible Scheduling for Production Environments
We know that pulling workers off the production line for training impacts your output. That's why we've designed our scheduling to minimize disruption to your operations:
- Shift-change sessions: Train crew A during the last 3 hours of their shift while crew B starts up
- Split-crew rotations: We run the same class twice in one day so you never lose full staffing
- Early morning (6am start) or after-hours sessions to avoid peak production hours
- Weekend availability for facilities that run Monday-Friday production
- Multi-day programs for large facilities: we return on consecutive days to rotate through all departments
- Recertification tracking: we notify you 90 days before any team member's certification expires
